I recently stayed at the New College Residence - Wilson Hall and had a wonderful experience. My purpose was to explore the cultural attractions in the area, and I stayed for a few nights. The cost was great, the bathrooms were clean, and the college students staying there were friendly. I loved the wool blanket on the bed and the fact that the windows could be opened. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the area, and there was no attempt to upsell. The room was spacious, the Wi-Fi and AC worked perfectly, and there was ample light. The availability of a coin-operated laundry was a bonus, and the tranquil ambiance made my stay even more enjoyable.
Can recommend this hotel.

I recently stayed at the Wilson Hall Residence for a short trip to downtown. The location was perfect, with easy access to everything by walk, Uber, or streetcar. The rooms were comfortable, air-conditioned, and the beds were as good as dorm room beds can be. The washrooms were clean, and the check-in staff was friendly and helpful. The overall experience was great, especially considering the budget-friendly price.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

We were out around downtown-core most of the time, using the hotel only for sleeping, and for this it was well worth. The location of the residence is a stones throw from everything a person in downtown core would want to see, and the hotel reception staff was very helpful and cordial in aiding us to find the locations of certain destinations we wanted to visit. They were patient with us even during late night hours (3am) and for that I am highly appreciative.
Bathroom/shower facilities were a little nerve racking to use as they were not clean (even when compared to a public bathroom..) and there was a feeling of severe isolation when in the facilities or walking the halls. Floor staff would be preferred as a feeling of insecurity was present when not behind our locked hotel door. The elevator was out of service for our stay which I suppose could not be helped, but a sign would have been good. All in all, my main point would be to check and clean the shower stalls, and to have night staff in the floors monitoring the floors, for the sake of everyone's safety.

good location, economic, other people staying there are friendly, good conversation
lack of parking, the university has a very confusing parking system, toilet room too far away from rooms

The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, creating a comfortable and clean environment. The staff were friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The location of the hotel was fantastic, with key spots within walking distance, making it convenient to explore the city. Another advantage was the quiet atmosphere, allowing for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
The air conditioning unit was quite loud and couldn't be turned off, causing some disturbance. the 'double rooms' were actually twin rooms, which was a slight inconvenience.

Great location and great price. Very clean. Streetcar stop right outside the main door. Friendly helpful staff. Bathrooms and common rooms cleaned regularly. Very safe area. Great for someone looking to explore the city on a cheap budget. Stayed there with my mother and both of us would highly recommend it and stay again. Great value for money.
Make sure and bring extra towels as only 1 small towel provided. Also if planning on making food in common room make sure and bring your own plates, cutlery, etc. We used have breakfast or lunch there most days and bought plastic picnic wear in a shop down the road so it was fine. Common room clean with oven, hob, fridge, tv etc. Very handy as expensive to eat out in Toronto everyday!!

Low cost, great location, easy to find, easy to check into, helpful staff.
Beds are standard dorm beds, bathrooms are showing their age, parking is equal to about half the cost of the room rental.

I stayed at the New College Residence - Wilson Hall for a week-long conference and the location was perfect. It's centrally located downtown, with easy access to public transportation. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even during a busy weekend. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and firm beds. I loved being within walking distance of great restaurants, cafes, and cultural attractions like the AGO.
I would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Best deal for that area, may not be the best for every one bc it's on campus and not really for the family type. I don't have a family and was visiting the school and it was great.
